How we handle your date of birth

Why do we ask for it?

Because how you can buy things depends on your age. We ask once, before you start using the service.

If you are below the minimum age to register, you can't register. In that case, what you entered is discarded and not saved.

What do we use it for?

We use your date of birth only to check your age and, for people under 18, to get a parent or guardian's confirmation for purchases. We never use it for advertising.

It is stored encrypted. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Can I change it later?

You can't change the date of birth you entered yourself. If you made a mistake, please contact us from “Contact” in Support.

If you are under 18

If you are under 18, you need your parent or guardian's consent.

If you buy something after giving a false date of birth, you may no longer be able to cancel the contract on the grounds that you are a minor (Japanese Civil Code, Article 21).
